We have been living in our Sorento Custom Home for two years now. Having built two houses previously with other builders (one of whom was local), we had developed expectations of the building experience. However, Sorento far surpassed our expectations. Originally, we had planned to build with the same larger, local builder who built our previous house. When they missed several timelines they had given us, we decided to look elsewhere and found Sorento Custom Homes. Initially, we thought a custom home builder would be out of our price range. However, we found that Sorento's price was very competitive.
The biggest benefit of building with Sorento was how we were treated. The Sorento team consistently treated us as valued customers. Our calls were returned quickly and our questions were answered honestly and completely. They kept us up to date with the progress of our house. They met the timelines we agreed on. Their pride in the finished product was evident when they noted more issues on the walkthrough then we did. The few minor issues from the walk-through as well as our follow up service requests were dealt with promptly. We're so happy with our house that we don't plan to build again in the near future, but when we do, it will be with Sorento.

The excitement began with a plan that we picked out and took to Sorento Custom Homes. Construction began in the fall of 2008 and we moved into our new home in March 2009. Sorento Custom Homes team of framers to the finishers and all the trades in between are very professional, all showing great pride in their workmanship. Our ownership group retained Sorento Custom Homes Ltd. to do complete renovations to 6 washrooms on three floors in our commercial building in downtown Red Deer. Sorento did an exceptional job with all aspects of the project: we entrusted them with the design and colour palette to update our washrooms to a contemporary look, and their suggestions and selections of colours, tiles and fixtures managed to satisfy all of the building's owner's, tenants, employees and clients.
One of the truly remarkable things about this project was that it was completed within only 8 weeks! This was truly a testament to Sorento's ability to manage and coordinate an extensive project that involved the complete tear-down and rebuild of all of our washrooms. More still. Sorento was able to do this with minimal disruption to the building's tenants and clients, and was done on-time and on budget.
We would be happy to recommend Sorento for anyone considering commercial and leasehold renovations and improvements. Their professionalism and attention to detail and timing served to make a substantial project proceed in a smooth and easy fashion with minimal disruption of our ongoing tenant's business operations.

My wife and I retained Sorento Custom Homes Ltd. to do an extensive renovation to our master bathroom during the summer of 2009. They did a wonderful job. The renovation entailed new tile flooring, custom tile shower with glass enclosure, new cabinetry and counter-tops, and all new fixtures, hardware, installation of a pocket-door, painting and trim. We now have the luxury ensuite bathroom we've always dreamed of.
Mark and his team were exceptional in working with us to ensure that the finished product met with our original design ideas; and we also appreciated the knowledgeable and experienced suggestions and assistance with improving on our ideas to make things even better then we could have hoped for. Sorento was courteous and respectful when working in our home: was always willing to accommodate our family's schedule, and in so doing still managed to coordinate the different sub-trades to complete their work in a seamless and timely manner.
We felt a great deal of confidence placing our project in Sorento's hands. We always knew that our satisfaction and happiness with the end result was their ultimate goal. No detail was overlooked,and Mark and his crew never failed to be diligent and professional throughout the entire project. What we really appreciated was the fact that there were never any surprises throughout the course of construction and completion. What we were quoted was what we paid! Too often you hear stories about contractor's who suddenly increase their price half-way through the project - leaving the home-owner facing a much larger bill than they ever budgeted for in the first place. This is not so with Sorento Custom Homes Ltd! Their honesty and integrity makes it easy for us to recommend Sorento Custom Homes Ltd. to anyone considering hiring them for either renovations or building a new custom-built home. If we ever consider building a home in the future, Sorento will be our first choice!

When we first met Mark and the team at Sorento we knew they were the builders we wanted to work with. With an 18 month old baby and the second on the way, we were ready to get into a bigger, newer home, and they made that happen with ease. We then relocated to the west coast for around a year and a half and upon returning back to Red Deer we never really had another thought in our mind about who we wanted to get our next home from. We have recently moved into our second Sorento home, and have just welcomed baby number three into the world, and once again, they made it all happen with quality, professionalism, and without complication. I've never met an easier bunch of guys to get along with, and because of that, we've recommended Sorento to family and friends, and don't hesitate to do so continually!

In November 2008, we moved to Red Deer and purchased our home at 83 Alexander Cres.
After moving in, we had a number of questions about the features of the home and we called Sorento Homes. Your team was more than happy to answer all of our questions.
When we needed a plumber and electrician to come to the house, you sent someone out right away. When there was a problem with the flooring in the dining room, Dan sent out someone and fixed the floor. When we noticed there was an issue with the insulation in the garage ceiling, without hesitation the problem was fixed. All the issues were taken care of promptly, efficiently and in a professional manner.
In the past, we have built our own homes and we have had houses built by other contractors for our family. As a former home builder and John's dad as a former plumber and building inspector for the county of St. Paul and The Town of St. Paul, we were often critical of these builders for their workmanship and customer service.
We realize that we were not the original owners of the home and that Sorento Homes was under no obligation to correct the issues. Sorento Homes had been a pleasure to deal with and we have mentioned on many occasions to family and friends what a great builder and customer service provider Sorento Homes is. It has been very comforting to know that Sorento Homes stand behind their product.
Also, since moving to Red Deer we have discovered that Sorento Homes is very heavily involved in the community and the support of sick kids. As parents of 2 young children, we find this very comforting.
